Create and manage your fleet structure

To correctly manage all the information and the documents about your machines, you can re-create your fleet structure on Piko. This way, it will be the easiest possible for you to search, update or edit information. Thanks to Piko’s AI, you can do this operation automatically and quickly. Let’s discover how.

Your fleet structure on Piko

Piko manages information about models and single assets. While, for instance, an operating manual is more likely to be associated with a model, an insurance certificate is for sure related to a single asset, defined by a serial number. In Piko, you will find a list of models corresponding to the models contained in your fleet, and for each of them, you’ll be able to see the single assets available. You can also browse the list of assets to go directly to the single piece of equipment you need to see.

Re-create your fleet with documents

The easiest way to manage your fleet structure on Piko is to use the document bulk-uploader to drop into the platform all the information about your machines. Piko will be able to read them and understand how your fleet is structured.

This way, you will find only the machines about which you need to manage docs, ordered in models and assets based on the type of documentation you have uploaded, with all the information that Piko has been able to recognize.  This process is automatic, but you’ll always be able to edit the structure as you like. With AI in asset management, it is so easy to create and manage the digital fleet.

Use a CSV or XLSX file

Add a model

You can select “Models” from the Piko main menu. Here you can see the list of your already present models, searching or filtering them, and you can manually add another model just by clicking on the “Add” button.

Piko doesn’t need too much information to save your model: simply insert the brand and the name. You may have an internal reference to call your model which is not necessarily corresponding to the original model name. Don’t worry! Piko will suggest the correct model to choose and you can insert your internal reference model name to be sure to keep calling it the way you’ve always done.

Add an asset

When you create a new model or when you edit an existing one, you can click on the “Add asset” button to add a new asset related to that specific model.

You need then to insert the asset’s unique serial number to identify it. You can also insert a reference code that is present on the machine (e.g., on the license plate). This way, it will be easier to associate a QR code with the machine when with the mobile app, just scanning both the QR and the identification code with the Piko mobile app.

Whenever you add or edit a model or an asset, you can manually add new documents related to them.
