As soon as you’ve classified all your files and associated them to your assets, you can access them directly from the actual construction machines and tools, and even let your customer access some of the documents (such as operation manuals) easily from the job site.
With PIKO’s blank QR codes, linking a machine to all its information stored on PIKO is easier than ever.
When you subscribe to PIKO, you’ll receive your exclusive QR codes in different sizes, based on the quantity of assets in your subscription.
These are Piko’s unique blank QR Codes: they can only be used with PIKO, but are not yet associated with any of the assets you’ve registered on the platform. Just stick them on the machines, choosing the size that fits best, and the first step is completed!
Now that the stickers are in place, just use your Piko mobile app to scan them. Piko will ask you which asset you want to link to that QR code, and you can scan the number possibly visible on the machine itself to speed up the process even more.
Once you’ve confirmed, the QR code is linked to the machine and when your customers will scan it, they will be able to read the manual!
If you as a rental company scan it with your Piko app, you’ll be able to see also the private documents related to the asset, such as the insurances or other certificates.
You can stick multiple QR codes on a single machine (in case you might want them to be scannable, for example, from the inside and from the outside). If the QR code is blank, you can repeat the association process even if you’ve already done it with another code for that same machine.
If you don’t want a QR code to be linked anymore to a machine, maybe to replace it with another one, just scan it again with your Piko mobile app, or go directly to the asset page on the Piko platform. You’ll be able to dissociate the link with a click!
